National University of Laos Champions Gender Equality at Capacity Building Workshop

Vientiane, Laos – On May 30, 2025, National University of Laos (NUOL) proudly hosted the 2025 Sookmyung UNESCO UNITWIN Faculty Capacity Building Workshop, a significant event dedicated to advancing gender equality.
Organized by the Asia-Pacific Women’s Information Network Center (APWINC) of Sookmyung Women’s University with the support of Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea, this crucial workshop brought together 39 academics from various faculties across NUOL. Throughout the workshop, participants delved into key themes surrounding gender equality, gender stereotypes, and societal norms. A core component of the program involved participants actively identifying pressing gender equality issues within the education sector and collaboratively developing actionable plans to address them.
