In 27th to 29th Aug 2025, the National University of Laos, or NUOL, had hosted the Second General Meeting of REAL Project (Reforming higher education in Laos); participants were from four universities include University of Souphanouvong, University of Savannakhet, University of Champasak, and the National University of Laos.
REAL Project, or Reforming higher education in Laos: installing the culture of comprehensive internal quality assurance necessary for implementing outcome-based approach, is co-funded by the European Union under the framework of Erasmus+ Programme on Capacity Building in Higher Education. The REAL Project holds particular importance as Lao PDR is the sole beneficiary in Asia, with the Ministry of Education and Sports as a key consortium partner. The project has heavily relied on the active collaboration of our partner institutions from Netherland, France and Spain, as well as the continued cooperation and support from the EU delegation to Lao PDR.
With support from Europe, the REAL Project is going to contribute to strengthening our internal quality assurance processes, enabling the effective implementation of outcome- based education and enhancing graduate employability and student mobility across ASEAN and Europe.
